1)   Fill out an application and have it returned to the Village of Ruidoso by the date posted.

           2)   Applications will be screened by Human Resources and references will be checked.

• 3)   Physical agility test consisting of sit-ups and pushups relevant to your age and gender.
• 4)   Physical ability test consisting of a job related course which will involve a ladder climb, hose hoist, sledge hammer strikes, hose pull, and Rescue Randy drag (175 lbs).
• 5)   Acrophobia test which will involve climbing a 175 foot ladder at an 80 degree angle.
• 6)   Physical endurance test which will involve carrying a 45 lb. pack for 3 miles.  Test must be completed in 45 minutes.  No running or jogging will be allowed in this test.  All applicants must walk the entire course in the allotted time to pass.
• 7)   Written test. 
• 8)   Interview with the Officers.
