The Village of Ruidoso uses PERA (Public Employee Retirement Association) for it's employees retirement.
The Ruidoso Police Department Dispatch is at PERA Municipal Level 2 - a 25 year retirement at 62.5%, or a 30 year retirement at 70%. This is based on the average base salary of your highest three years of employment.
The Village pays 13.55% into your retirement. You only pay 4.75%.
The Village also offers ICMA - 457 Deferred Compensation upon request.
