Reason: Aluminum Sulfate is needed for the removal of Phosphorous from our Effluent Stream.  Chameleon Industries is the closest source of bulk liquid Aluminum Sulfate for our facility within our region.

About the Department of Purchasing

The Village Manager has designated the Purchasing Department as the central authority responsible for the procurement of all items required to operate and maintain the Village and its projects. The Purchasing Department is responsible for procuring these items/services at the best value, optimum delivery, and total quality to meet the requirements of the requisitioning Departments. This is accomplished primarily through competitive quotes, formal bids or proposals with the Villages' best interest always paramount.

The mission of the Purchasing Department is to assist all departments in planning and maintaining the Villages' financial health, by establishing a uniform procedure for obtaining goods and services in an effective and timely manner in accordance with generally accepted purchasing procedure and the legal requirements outlined in the State of New Mexico Procurement Code.
