The 2026 Rec Youth Summer Wilderness Camp, June 8–12, features hiking, fishing, survival skills, sports, swimming, a fire station tour, and a field trip to the Alamogordo Zoo and Space Museum. $65 per week. Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence with free family-friendly activities at the Wingfield Heritage House Museum. The event features Colonial America-inspired crafts, educational activities, and a community commemorative quilt project for participants of all ages.
Register for the Full Moon Night excursion hosted by Ruidoso Parks & Recreation. This fee-based trip includes round-trip transportation from Ruidoso to White Sands National Park. Event timing is subject to change. Sign up through the official Parks & Rec catalog online.

Wingfield Heritage House Museum will participate in the 2026 Cloudcroft Museum Fest on Saturday, July 18 from 10 AM–4 PM at The Lodge Pavilion in Cloudcroft. The free public event will feature more than 20 museums and heritage organizations from across Southern New Mexico, along with exhibits, demonstrations, local history displays, and family-friendly activities.
