Join Bird Secrets at Wingfield Heritage House Museum on May 23 from 10 AM–Noon. This free family event features a habitat-themed scavenger hunt, hands-on crafts like hummingbird feeders and sun catchers, and take-home birding items for kids.
Open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, the Wibit Water Park at Grindstone Lake is a floating, inflatable summer attraction in Ruidoso. Open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM–6 PM, it offers family-friendly fun alongside lake activities like swimming, fishing, and picnicking. Admission fees apply.
The Ruidoso Municipal Swimming Pool opens Memorial Day Weekend 2026 at 515 Sudderth Drive. Enjoy affordable family fun with public swim, waterslide access, and pool party rentals throughout the summer. Admission is $5 per person, with public swimming available through early August. Join the U.S. Forest Service, Ruidoso Parks and Recreation, and EcoServants for a National Trails Day Clean-Up in Ruidoso on June 6. Volunteers of all ages are invited to help care for local trails while enjoying a community day outdoors. Gloves and trash bags will be provided.
