New Mexico Home Recovery Program: Housing Recovery Help and In-Person Assistance in Ruidoso
August 21, 2026 (RUIDOSO, NM) — Ruidoso-area residents seeking help with the New Mexico Home Recovery Program can meet with program representatives in person for application assistance, document submission, questions, and program updates.
The Home Recovery Program provides housing recovery support for disaster-impacted households in Lincoln and Chaves Counties. Eligible homeowners may receive assistance with home repairs, reconstruction, or new home construction, including structural, roofing, plumbing and electrical repairs, mold remediation, home elevation, and other eligible recovery needs. Residents must apply and meet program eligibility requirements.
The New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) is offering weekly application workshops and monthly town halls in Ruidoso through December 2026 to help residents learn about and navigate the program.
