New Mexicans Have Five Days Left to Apply for Assistance from FEMA

New Mexicans impacted by the wildfires and subsequent flooding from burn scars have only five days left to apply for assistance from FEMA. The final deadline to apply is Monday, Nov. 7, 2022. FEMA assistance can help residents find temporary housing, rebuild their homes, replace destroyed property, and more.

Don’t delay. Apply today!

Three ways to apply:

▪ The fastest and easiest way to apply is by visiting disasterassistance.gov/;

▪ Call 800-621-3362. The toll-free telephone lines operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Those who use a relay service such as a videophone should update FEMA with the specific number assigned to that service.

▪ Download the FEMA Mobile App and click on “Apply for Individual Assistance” to begin an application. For the latest information on the wildfires, visit fema.gov/disaster/4652. Follow us on Twitter at twitter.com/FEMARegion6 and like us on Facebook at facebook.com/FEMARegion6/.
