Village of Ruidoso Honors Retiring Employees for Years of Dedicated Service

December 2025 (Ruidoso, NM)— The Village of Ruidoso proudly recognizes several longtime employees as they enter retirement, honoring decades of service, professionalism, and commitment to the community. Their collective contributions span multiple departments and reflect a shared dedication to public service and operational excellence.

Kathy Richardson

Kathy Richardson – Forestry Department (21 Years of Service)

Kathy Richardson began her career with the Village in August 2004 and has served in the Forestry Department for 21 years. As the department’s third employee, Kathy played a foundational role in its growth and evolution alongside the needs of the community.

During her tenure, she worked closely with partner agencies to implement the Community Wildfire Protection Plan, strengthening wildfire preparedness and resilience across the Village. Kathy expressed pride in the department’s ability to deliver meaningful, on-the-ground results and gratitude for the continued support of the Governing Body. She will miss her colleagues and the community she served daily.

Jerome McTeigue – Solid Waste Department (27 Years of Service)

Jerome McTeigue retired after 27 years and two months of service with the Village, spending his entire career as an operator/driver in the Solid Waste Department. Known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude, Jerome consistently approached his work with professionalism and care.

He valued the connections he made with coworkers and residents alike and was always willing to lend a hand. His dedication and respect for the role he served will be fondly remembered.

Randy Koehn – Water Production (12 Years of Service)

Randy Koehn joined the Village in August 2013 as Water Production Manager, bringing extensive experience and Water Level IV certification. Over 12 years, he contributed to numerous major infrastructure projects, including improvements at Alto and Grindstone Dams, the Alto Water Treatment Plant, tank rehabilitations, and diversion projects.

Randy was instrumental in helping the Village meet and maintain regulatory standards established by the New Mexico Environment Department, setting operational benchmarks that continue today. His leadership emphasized teamwork, adaptability, and clear communication. Randy will be relocating to Las Cruces to be closer to family.

David “Tbone” Tetreault

David “Tbone” Tetreault – Parks and Recreation Department (30 Years of Service)

David “Tbone” Tetreault retired after 30 years of service, beginning his career with the Village in September 1995. Advancing from Park Maintenance Worker to Assistant Director, Tbone played a vital role in the development and success of the Parks and Recreation Department.

His work included maintaining athletic fields, developing the Grindstone disc golf course, supporting the annual Christmas tree lighting, and serving on the Keep Ruidoso Beautiful board from 2018 through 2025. Known for leading by example, Tbone’s integrity, loyalty, and dedication left a lasting impact on the department and community.

The Village of Ruidoso extends sincere appreciation to these retiring employees for their years of service and meaningful contributions. Their commitment has strengthened the organization and enriched the community they served.
