To help manage traffic during the Memorial Day weekend—and because the road on Paradise Canyon remains closed due to ongoing recovery work—the Village will implement a coordinated traffic management plan.

Road closures will be in effect daily from Friday, May 23, through Monday, May 26, between 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM. These closures are aimed at peak travel hours and are being coordinated with local law enforcement, emergency services, and the Village’s Public Works Department.

The closures will primarily impact the Ruidoso Hollywood Area and its surrounding connector routes. Detour signs and traffic control points will be clearly marked, and law enforcement personnel will be present to help direct traffic and ensure access for residents and emergency vehicles.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra time for travel, and use alternative routes whenever possible.
