Ruidoso Police Investigating Potential Homicide

At approximately 2:46 PM on Tuesday, April 13, officers with the Ruidoso Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of La Luz Drive in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival, the deceased bodies of 46-year-old Jarrod Simpson and 46-year-old Tristina Simpson were discovered. 

The investigation is ongoing with a collaborative effort by the Twelfth Judicial District Attorney’s Office Major Crime Unit (MCU), which is comprised of the Twelfth Judicial District Attorney’s Office, the Alamogordo Police Department, the Otero County Sheriff’s Office, the Lincoln County Sherriff’s Office, and the Ruidoso Police Department. The New Mexico State Police are also providing assistance.
