Road Closure on Hull Road
Beginning Monday, November 19th at 8:00 AM, water crews from the Village of Ruidoso will be investigating and looking for a main line water leak. This will result in the closure of Hull Road from Gavilan Canyon to Willie Horton Drive.
Lincoln National Forest Partners with Mescalero Apache on Restoration Project after Little Bear Fire
Work has begun as part of a new partnership between the Mescalero Apache Tribe and Lincoln National Forest to restore the ski area landscape including tree planting, addressing a spruce beetle outbreak, and aspen restoration work.
Pile Burning Planned for Sacramento Ranger District
The Sacramento Ranger District of the Lincoln National Forest will be burning a combination of hand and slash piles in November and December when conditions and weather are favorable. The piles are located along the Alamo Peak road, and in Dry Burnt and Long Canyons near the Sixteen Springs community. Updates: https://nmtracking.org/fire
Table Tennis Tournament at the Ruidoso Community Center
Get your paddles dusted off and start training in for the Table Tennis Tournament at the Ruidoso Community Center at 10 AM on Saturday, December 1, 2018.
Two Rivers Restoration Project Begins
Work has begun on the river restoration project at Two Rivers Park. The project will construct new fish habitats along with re-vegetating high-use areas.
Grindstone Pile Burn Planned for Indian Canyon Unit and South Fork Campground
Fire managers on the Smokey Bear Ranger District of the Lincoln National Forest hope to take advantage of favorable conditions to conduct pile burning between Grindstone and Mescalero lakes west of Carrizo Canyon Road. Lane Closures on Sudderth and Mechem Drives for Sewer Line Maintenance
The Village of Ruidoso has scheduled sewer line maintenance street works on Sudderth and Mechem Drives for September 17 - 19, 2018 (Sudderth) and September 24 - 26, 2018 (Mechem). The work will be conducted between the hours of 6:00 PM and 12:00 AM. During these times, drivers may encounter a single lane closure where work is being performed.
Reforestation Projects on the Little Bear and Scott Able Fires
Learn how the National Forest Management Reforestation Partnerships Program is helping to restore the damage of the Little Bear and Scott Able Fires on the Lincoln National Forest by planting native conifer seedlings across hundreds of acres.
NMDOT to Repair Midtown Sidewalks
The New Mexico Department of Transportation will begin a new round of repairs to Sudderth sidewalks. Work is scheduled to begin September 24-26, 2018 and will last for a month.
Community Meeting Set for Sewer Relocation Project
Molzen Corbin will be hosting the third community meeting to update Village residents on Tuesday, September 25th at 5:30 in the Council Chambers at Village Hall. There will also be an informal meet and greet at Cornerstone Bakery on September 26th from 7:30 - 10:00.

Lincoln Country & Tribal Officials Form Group to Focus on School Safety
Officials from Lincoln County, the Village of Ruidoso and law enforcement agencies in Lincoln County along with the Mescalero Tribe and the local schools have formed a strategy working group for the purpose of facilitating the exchange of information and training that will hopefully lead to improved coordination and response to any threat in our region.
Dipaolo Drive Waterline Project Begins
Work has begun on the Dipaolo Drive Waterline Project, a much-needed improvement for residents in the area that is funded with General Obligation Bonds that were approved by Village voters.
White Oaks Pile Burn Planned for Smokey Bear Ranger District
Fire managers on the Smokey Bear Ranger District of the Lincoln National Forest hope to take advantage of favorable conditions, including fuel moisture levels, air quality, and forecasted weather to conduct pile burning along Jicarilla road / Forest Road 72. 1-3 miles east of White Oaks, NM. Join Us for a Community BBQ with the UTEP Miners Football Team!
A community BBQ will be held on Saturday, August 11 from 4:00 - 6:30 PM at the MCM Elegante Inn & Suites. Come out and meet the players and coaches and enjoy free hot dogs. Players will be signing posters throughout the event.
VOR Set to Welcome the UTEP Miners Back
The UTEP Miners football team will arrive in Ruidoso on Friday, August 3rd to begin their annual summer football camp.
