2026 Municipal Election Information

Election Day

The Municipal Officer Election will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ruidoso Convention Center,

111 Sierra Blanca Dr., Ruidoso, NM.

Offices on the Ballot

The following municipal offices will be elected for four-year terms:

• Mayor

• At-Large Councilor

• At-Large Councilor

• At-Large Councilor

Candidate Filing

Declarations of Candidacy may be filed on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The final day for candidates to withdraw is Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Write-In Candidate Filing

Declarations of Intent to be a Write-in Candidate must be filed on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Write-in candidates may withdraw until Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Early Voting

Early voting begins Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the Office of the Municipal Clerk,

313 Cree Meadows, Ruidoso, NM.

Voting hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
