NEW MEXICO PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY: Testing and travel guidelines - March 18, 2020

The New Mexico Department of Health asks all persons traveling into New Mexico from outside the state to self-isolate for 14 days and monitor themselves for any symptoms. Update: Mayor Issues Executive Orders in Response to COVID-19 - March 16, 2020

Mayor Lynn Crawford has issued two Executive Orders in response to Coronavirus (COVID-19). Executive order 2020-01 gives direction regarding employee non-essential work-related travel and non-work-related travel. Executive Order 2020-02 accelerates remote-work initiatives and temporarily adjusts and suspends certain functions in order to minimize public health risks related to COVID-19.

2020 GO Bond Report & Update

On the ballot for the 2020 Municipal Election on March 3, 2020, will be a question asking voters to authorize $3 million of general obligation bonds. All registered voters who reside within the boundaries of the Ruidoso Village limits may vote on the bond question. This is a continuation of the Water Infrastructure Improvement Bond Program that was designed to set the mill levy rate (property tax rate) at a rate to ensure a continual approval of $3 million at each election. By getting voter approval on a GO Bond every two years, residents can continue the Water Infrastructure Improvement Program without increasing their property taxes.

Feb 17-20, 2020 Sewer Line Maintenance Sudderth & Mechem Drive

Beginning February 17, 2020, through February 20, 2020, at 6:00 pm until Midnight each day, the Village of Ruidoso will be performing maintenance on the main sewer lines on Mechem and Sudderth Drives. Please look for signs indicating which lane will be closed. Approach the area with caution at a very slow speed and watch for employees directing traffic.
