Breweries permitted ‘soft’ reopening Effective June 12
Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on Thursday, June 11, 2020, announced the state’s emergency public health order will be amended to permit a limited reopening for breweries this weekend followed by a broader reopening on Monday, June 15.

Ruidoso Trails Project Update
The following reports summarize project scope and status for the Ruidoso Trails Project consisting of the construction a new Cree Meadows Trail on the north side of Cree Meadows Drive from Mechem (NM 48) to the Links Trail; the rehabilitation of the existing Links Trail around the Links at Sierra Blanca golf course, and the creation of multi-use recreation trails at Moon Mountain Recreation Area.
Gov. announces limited reopening for dine-in restaurants, indoor malls, gyms, salons and more effective June 1, 2020
New Mexico’s emergency public health order will be extended and amended to permit indoor dining, hair salons, gyms, and indoor shopping malls to reopen effective June 1, 2020, on a limited basis and in accordance with required COVID-Safe Practices, among other changes, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced Thursday, May 28.
State announces soft reopening for outdoor or patio services at dine-in restaurants beginning May 27, 2020
Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, announced the state’s emergency public health order will be amended to permit limited outdoor dine-in services for most of the state beginning Wednesday, May 27. Dine-in services inside restaurants and bars remain temporarily prohibited.
Boat Rentals Available at Grindstone Lake Starting Memorial Day Weekend
The Village of Ruidoso in coordination with High Mountain Concessions will begin offering boat rentals, fishing equipment, and snacks at Grindstone Lake beginning on Friday, May 22, 2020, through Labor Day. Concessions will be open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (weather permitting). Parking is $5 a day, a season pass of $20 is available for residents.
Virtual ZOOM Public Meeting Scheduled for June 3, 2020 about Cree Meadows, Moon Mountain, and Links Trail Projects
The Village of Ruidoso will hold a joint virtual public meeting via Zoom on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm for the Cree Meadows Trail Project, Links Trail Rehabilitation Project, and the Moon Mountain Trail Project.
Village of Ruidoso Executive Order 2020-09 To Become Effective May 16, 2020 at 8:00 am
On Thursday, May 14, 2020, the Village of Ruidoso and the Office of the Mayor Issued Executive Order 2020-09 effective May 16 at 8:00 am. Individuals, businesses, and other entities within the Village of Ruidoso are encouraged to implement the outlined safe practices as presented by the Executive Branch of the State of New Mexico.
State further modifies public health emergency order To begin May 16
Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and state health officials on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, announced New Mexico’s emergency public health order, set to expire May 15, will be extended through May 31 and modified to allow most retailers to operate at 25 percent of their maximum occupancy as determined by fire code. The amended public health order will be finalized and distributed later this week upon the expiration of the current emergency order.

On Friday, May 8, 2020, the Water Production Department will conduct maintenance on the Black Forest and Dog House pump stations which will cause water outages as follows. Approach with caution at a very slow speed and watch for crews directing traffic.

The Street Department will begin work on Monday, May 11, 2020, for the paving of Junction Road and will continue until finished. Watch for Detour signs and street crews working, approach with caution. Seek alternative routes.
