Description: Teach drivers advanced techniques and strategies to enhance road safety and reduce the risk of accidents.

Location: Horton Complex - Room 146

The use of Village of Ruidoso (VOR) vehicles is governed by New Mexico Administrative Code (NMAC), state law, Village policy, and applicable insurance coverage.

All VOR employees must successfully complete the National Safety Council (NSC) defensive driving course before operating a Village owned, leased, or rented vehicle for employment or travel. This includes any utility vehicles that will be operating on any part of a public roadway or parking lot.

Defensive driving certificates are valid for four years.
