Flood SAFE Partner Program

An Office of Emergency Management Program

Businesses working together to build a more prepared, resilient Ruidoso.

The Flood SAFE Partner Program brings together local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations to help residents and visitors stay informed before, during, and after flood events.

Office of Emergency Management

Led by Village Emergency Management

The Flood SAFE Partner Program is administered by the Village of Ruidoso Office of Emergency Management (OEM).

OEM coordinates emergency planning, preparedness, response, and recovery efforts while working closely with local, county, state, federal, nonprofit, and private-sector partners to help keep the community informed and resilient before, during, and after emergencies.

The Flood SAFE Partner Program is one of the ways OEM works with community partners to strengthen preparedness and build resilience throughout Ruidoso.

Community Preparedness

How Flood SAFE Partners Support Our Community

Flood SAFE Partners strengthen community preparedness by sharing reliable information, encouraging awareness, and supporting residents and visitors during changing weather conditions.

Share Reliable Information

Help residents and visitors access official emergency alerts, flood safety information, and trusted Village resources during changing weather conditions.

Encourage Awareness

Encourage customers and visitors to monitor weather conditions, stay alert to changing risks, and follow guidance from emergency officials.

Provide Temporary Indoor Refuge

When conditions allow, provide a temporary place for customers and visitors to remain indoors while hazardous weather passes.

Flood SAFE Partners are not emergency shelters.

Support Community Preparedness

Help strengthen community resilience by promoting preparedness, sharing reliable information, and encouraging informed decision-making before and during emergencies.
