Safe Skies New Mexico 2026 Aviation Safety Seminars Announced
February 23, 2026 (Ruidoso, NM) — The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) Aviation Division, in partnership with the FAA Safety Team, has launched Safe Skies New Mexico, a new statewide aviation safety education initiative for 2026.
This no-cost, in-person seminar series is designed specifically for New Mexico pilots, aircraft owners, maintainers, aviation professionals, and enthusiasts. The program’s goal is to strengthen safety culture across the state while ensuring high-quality aviation training is accessible to communities beyond larger metro airports.
Each session provides FAA WINGS credit and focuses on practical, real-world operational topics relevant to flying in New Mexico’s unique terrain and high-altitude environment.

• Owner & Operator Maintenance: Double Eagle (AEG) — March 28, 2026
• MOSAIC Program for Pilots & Maintenance: Farmington (FMN) — June 20, 2026
• Fly New Mexico and the Wilds: Density Altitude & Remote Operations: Roswell (ROW) — September 18, 2026 (Time TBD)
• Technology Reliance in the Modern Cockpit: Deming (DMN) — November 14, 2026
