Wingfield Heritage House Museum Exploring New Scrapbooking Workshop Series
June 15, 2026 (Ruidoso, NM) — The Wingfield Heritage House Museum is exploring a new Scrapbooking Workshop Series that combines creativity, storytelling, and local history through fun, hands-on experiences designed for participants of all skill levels.
Tentatively planned as a three-month pilot program beginning in July, the series would feature two independent workshops each month:
Seasonal Sessions focused on holiday and seasonal themes
Heritage Sessions inspired by local history, traditions, and everyday life in the Ruidoso area
Each workshop would stand on its own, allowing participants to attend one session or multiple sessions based on their interests.
Workshop participants would receive themed scrapbook kits featuring curated papers, embellishments, and materials, along with creative inspiration through technique demonstrations and interactive journaling prompts. Sessions would also incorporate local history connections through museum artifacts, presentations, and community stories.
Additional optional activities may include museum scavenger hunts and other interactive experiences. Participants would be encouraged to bring personal photographs, keepsakes, and family memorabilia to incorporate into their projects.
Before finalizing the program, the museum is seeking community feedback on workshop themes, scheduling preferences, participation interest, and future offerings.
Community members are invited to complete a brief survey to help shape the proposed series:
