SBA Opens Business Recovery Center in Ruidoso to Support Local Recovery
RUIDOSO, NM (July 29, 2025) — In the wake of recent severe storms, flooding, and landslides, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has opened a Business Recovery Center (BRC) in Ruidoso to assist those impacted in Lincoln County.
The center, located at Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) – Ruidoso at 709 Mechem Drive, is staffed with SBA customer service representatives ready to help business owners, nonprofit organizations, homeowners, and renters navigate the disaster loan application process. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments can be scheduled in advance at appointment.sba.gov.
Business Recovery Center Hours:
Monday–Friday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Opens at noon on Tuesday, July 29
“SBA’s Business Recovery Centers have consistently proven their value to business owners following a disaster,” said Chris Stallings, associate administrator of the SBA Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience. “These centers provide face-to-face guidance and critical resources to support recovery efforts.”
SBA disaster loans are available for:
Businesses and nonprofits: Up to $2 million for physical damage and economic injury
Small businesses and PNPs: Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) for lost revenue and operating expenses
Homeowners: Up to $500,000 for primary residence repair/replacement
Renters and homeowners: Up to $100,000 for personal property
Interest rates are as low as 4% for small businesses, 3.625% for nonprofits, and 2.813% for homeowners and renters, with terms of up to 30 years. No payments are due and no interest accrues for the first 12 months following disbursement.
Application Deadlines:
Physical damage loans: September 22, 2025
Economic injury loans: April 22, 2026
