The VOR Office of Emergency Management will be performing a test on the Emergency Notification System (Call Me Ruidoso) today at approximately 5:00 PM today (April 15th).

The EPA’s Brownfields Program provides grants and technical assistance to communities, states, tribes and others to assess, safely clean up and sustainably reuse contaminated properties. To learn more about how this program could be put to productive use in our community the Village of Ruidoso is hosting a FREE workshop on June 25, 2019, from 9:00 am to 3:45 pm at the Ruidoso Convention Center. Advance registration is requested by June 21, 2019.

The Village of Ruidoso is updating the Village’s Comprehensive Plan, which identifies Ruidoso’s vision and priorities for the next 20 years. Please review the Draft Current Conditions Report and Draft Economic Development Assessment (Appendix to ED Assessment) that set the stage for the Comprehensive Plan and come share your ideas at our next Community Meeting at 5:30 pm on April 10th, 2019.

December 29, 2018: Good morning! Crews from the Village are still working diligently to clear the roads. The snow has stopped falling, and it is anticipated that all roads will be re-opening throughout the day. We thank you for your patience and remind you to be careful out there as road conditions are still treacherous.

December 28, 2018: The Village of Ruidoso is advising everyone to stay off the roads and travel is discouraged, unless you have an emergency. The Village has had all available snow removal resources out addressing the roads and will continue with road maintenance throughout the remainder of this storm. Please stay safe and warm!

December 28, 2018: Due to severe weather conditions in the Village of Ruidoso, all Village offices and departments are closed today. All essential personnel including fire, police, streets and solid waste will be working.

The Village of Ruidoso hosted its Employee Extravaganza event Friday, December 14, 2018, handing out dozens of prizes to Village workers during the annual evening of fun.

A NM DOT approved student driver education course will be offered through the Ruidoso Community Center with winter enrollment now available for January 28 - February 21, 2019, weekdays only. 

On Thursday, December 20, 2018, between the hours of 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, the Water Production Department will be repairing electrical components at the Pumphouse on Reservoir Road which will cause a water outage affecting homes and businesses on the south-east side of Grindstone Canyon Road between Spring Road and Center Street. Village offices will close at noon on Friday, December 14, 2018 for the annual Employee Recognition Extravaganza. All essential services provided by the police department, fire department, solid waste, airport and utilities will run on their regular schedule.

The Village of Ruidoso Parks and Recreation Department has just completed the design of a campground at Grindstone Lake.  The project work has been advertised, and the Parks Director will be requesting the approval of a contract for construction services to build a campground at Grindstone Lake.

The Village of Ruidoso and Molzen Corbin would like to invite you to attend a public meeting with the project team as they provide an update on the Ruidoso Sewer Rehab Project. This meeting will focus on river improvements, why they are needed, how they will benefit the stability of the river and ultimately protect properties and improve the fish habitat.

Ruidoso village crews will begin evening maintenance work on Dec. 3, 2018, during the hours of 6 pm to midnight on sewer lines along Sudderth Drive from Carrizo Canyon intersection to Paradise Canyon.
