The public is invited to join the Village of Ruidoso for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the solar energy project at the Ruidoso/Ruidoso Downs Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (RWWTP) on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 1:30 PM.

The $2.7 million solar project is designed to reduce electric utility costs at the treatment plant, with projected savings of approximately $185,000 annually. The project includes 1,488 solar photovoltaic modules installed throughout the RWWTP site.
