Give your child a summer to remember! Can’t make it to Week 1? Week 2 offers the same exciting lineup of wilderness exploration, skill-building, and fun! This is an excellent opportunity for kids to grow their confidence, meet new friends, and enjoy the beauty of our local environment.

Time: 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM daily (Thursday until 5:00 PM)

Location: Varies by day (see schedule)

Details: Ages 7–12 | $65/week | Space is limited to 20 campers/week

• Monday, June 23 – Fishing & Survival Skills Day

  Meet at Alto Lake Parking Lot

  • Smokey Bear fire safety talk

  • Tent setup & camping basics

  • Fishing instruction and practice

• Tuesday, June 24 – Outdoor Sports Day

  Meet at White Mountain Recreation Complex

  • Archery & disc golf rotations

  • Slip & slide kickball & kite flying

• Wednesday, June 25 – Hiking & Wildlife Day

  Meet at Alto Lake Parking Lot

  • Orienteering and wildlife ID

  • Trail hike with field observations

• Thursday, June 26 – Field Trip to Alamogordo Zoo & Space Museum

  Depart from School House Park

  • Zoo visit and pizza lunch

  • Space Museum & Planetarium show

    (Pick-up at 5:00 PM)

• Friday, June 27 – Fire Station Tour & Pool Day

  Depart from School House Park

  • Fire Station 1 tour

  • Swimming at Ruidoso Pool
