Elk Meadows Workforce Housing Website Now Live
June 21, 2025 – Ruidoso, NM — Following the groundbreaking of the Elk Meadows workforce housing project earlier this spring, the official project website is now live at ElkMeadowsApartments.com.
Developed through a partnership between the Village of Ruidoso, Enriched Communities LLC, and the New Mexico Housing & Community Development Corporation, Elk Meadows was created to support the housing needs of Ruidoso’s residents. Whether you’re looking for a place to grow your family or a comfortable home in a scenic setting, this community is being built with you in mind.
The new website offers a closer look at the 72-unit development taking shape just north of Mechem Drive, including:
Floor plans for 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units
Renderings and site layout
Descriptions of on-site supportive services, provided in partnership with Region IX Education Cooperative and Eastern New Mexico University
Construction timeline and housing eligibility updates
With funding from a mix of state and federal sources, including housing tax credits and the National Housing Trust Fund, Elk Meadows addresses a critical local priority: safe, attainable housing for working families, educators, healthcare workers, and others who help Ruidoso thrive.
Construction began in May 2025, with move-ins expected in early 2027.
