Village of Ruidoso Launches RuidosoReady.com to Help Residents Prepare, Recover and Stay Informed
June 29, 2026, (RUIDOSO, NM ) — The Village of Ruidoso has launched RuidosoReady.com, a new website designed to help residents, businesses and visitors prepare for emergencies, recover after disasters, and access trusted preparedness information throughout the year.
The new site serves as the Village’s central preparedness and recovery resource, bringing together guidance, planning tools, educational resources and recovery information in one easy-to-navigate location.
Visitors can find information on:
Wildfire preparedness
Burn scar flooding and flash flood safety
Severe thunderstorms and high winds
Building emergency plans
Preparing go bags and emergency supplies
Pet preparedness
Evacuation planning
Emergency alerts and notifications
Recovery and rebuilding resources
Assistance programs and community support
RuidosoReady.com complements the Village’s existing Emergency Information webpage by serving a different purpose.
While RuidosoReady.com focuses on helping people prepare before emergencies occur and recover afterward, the Village’s Emergency Information page remains the official source for active emergency updates, current conditions, emergency declarations, road closures, evacuation information and other time-sensitive public information during incidents.
Together, the two resources provide residents with a clear path to the information they need—whether planning ahead, responding during an emergency or navigating recovery afterward.
The Village encourages residents to explore the site, develop household emergency plans, build emergency supply kits, sign up for emergency alerts and become familiar with local hazards before an emergency occurs.
Prepared communities recover faster, and taking small steps today can make a significant difference when emergencies happen.
Residents and visitors can access preparedness and recovery resources anytime at RuidosoReady.com.
During active emergencies, current incident information will continue to be published through the Village’s Emergency Information webpage at https://www.ruidoso-nm.gov/emergency-information.
