UPDATE: JANUARY 8, 2024: Thank you to those who provided input in the summer and fall of 2023. Based on your input, the Hazard Mitigation Plan is a more useful tool for all six participating communities. The Planning Team vetted the comments, integrated changes into the draft, and finalized the document with the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Adoption of the Hazard Mitigation Plan is on the agenda for the six governing bodies in January 2024. After FEMA issues a final approval letter, the Hazard Mitigation Plan will be posted here for reference, and community members can follow implementation progress.
