Labor Day, Utility Updates & Community News for Fall
The September 2026 edition of the Village of Ruidoso Insider looks ahead to Labor Day Weekend and fall in Ruidoso, with Mayor Lynn Crawford highlighting the importance of visitors to the local economy and encouraging residents and guests to share the Village’s roads, trails, and neighborhoods with patience and respect.
Mayor Crawford also reflects on this summer’s beneficial monsoon moisture, thanks Village crews and first responders for their continued work, and reminds everyone to stay weather-aware through the remainder of monsoon season.
This issue includes updates on Lead and Copper Rule service-line surveys, July 2026 utility rate adjustments, the Village’s Fats, Oils & Grease Inspection Program, a proposed zoning change addressing HUD-certified manufactured homes, and recent Village Council actions.
