  • Sandbag Operations Update

The Village of Ruidoso Office of Emergency Management is currently working to get sandbag operations up and running. At this time, sandbags are not available for residents, and there is not yet a confirmed date for when sandbagging equipment and supplies will be onsite.

Once equipment and supplies are delivered, Sandbag Points of Distribution will be established at:

    Wingfield Park
    311 Center Street

    Ruidoso Convention Center
    111 Sierra Blanca Drive

Planned operating hours will be 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM once operations begin.

This year, residents will be required to fill their own sandbags. Sand will be provided by the State of New Mexico in partnership with DHSEM and NMDOT, and a SandBagger machine will be available at each location to help facilitate filling.

Residents who need assistance may be able to receive support through COAD on a case-by-case basis.

Please check back for updates as sandbag operations are finalized.
